Wouldn't it be wonderful if insurance companies could somehow figure out a way to only cover people who will never be ill? [/ sarcasm]
I don't have a problem with providing someone like Benjy with public assistance for his health care needs. But when his parents have paid premiums to Aetna for 11 years, I do have a problem with them trying not to cover his care because he was born with an extremely rare genetic condition. Sometimes there isn't a proven treatment for a condition, but that shouldn't mean that there is no choice but to wait for death. These parents only want what most of us would: a chance for their son.
