A group of physician, patient and civic psychiatric organizations have developed the Depression is Real campaign to educate the public about the seriousness of depression.
The Depression is Real website brings together general educational information about depression and a nice assortment of resources for people who have been diagnosed with depression or wonder if they may be experiencing it. Included are links to descriptions of treatment options, a comprehensive mood-tracking calendar, links to local support groups, recommended therapists, and many other useful resources.
This is a great website. They have included items useful to a wide variety of people, whether you're newly diagnosed, have been dealing with depression for years, or want to better understand how depression affects someone you love.
