At the beginning of the new year, I made a lengthy list of goals for myself. It is hard to believe we're already a month in. I think I've been doing okay on meeting my goals, but the only way I know of to hold myself truly accountable is to review each one and where I am at with it. So here goes.

Read 50 books.

Going well. I have already read 6 books. I'm definitely on track to surpass my goal.

Watch 100 movies.

Also going well. I've watched 10 new movies in the new year.

Recommit to paper journaling and stick with it all year.

Not going as well as I'd like. I'm down to journaling no more than a couple times a week. Need to work on this one.

Cook dinner at least once a week.

Right on track.

Make 5 eco-friendly changes in my habits/behaviors.

I have work to do here. I have identified two or three changes, but I need to actually make them and decide on a couple more. (1) Purchase and put in place blanket for water heater. (2) Purchase, put up, and use outdoor clothesline and use indoor drying rack (instead of electric dryer). (3) Purchase and use four additional CFLs. (As of today, 2/4 in use.)

Stick with therapy.

I accidentally missed my appointment this past week (honestly, it was an accident), but otherwise I'm doing well.

Keep up with my recycling.

On track.

Use my reusable shopping bags - use no more than 12 single-use bags all year.

I have already had to use two in the new year, both at the same store.

Take a yoga class.

Need to plan for this.

Take a class at the local co-op.

Need to plan for this. There is an Indian cooking class in March calling my name.

Participate in and win NaNoWriMo.

Need to plan for this.

Overall, I think I am doing okay. Plenty of time in the year to fit in some of the things I am planning.
