I have recently come across a number of informative migraine and health related blog entries. These entries are all well worth reading when you have the time.

My Migraine Connection's expert Teri Robert has a new post up about how to keep a headache diary. In addition to some excellent advice about why and how to keep one, the site offers a free download in PDF format, which includes three types of diaries and other resources for organizing your health information.

Chronic Pain Connection offers a helpful article on whether chronic pain patients should get flu shots.

Flu Shots Pros and Cons

If you’re largely homebound and have limited contact with other people, your risk of exposure to the flu will be minimal. On the other hand, if you have school-age children who are bringing home every germ and bug imaginable, then your likelihood of catching the flu will be very high.

So should you get a flu shot? Only you and your doctor can make that decision. Your personal medical history, current health condition and level of probable exposure all
have to be taken into consideration. In the end, you have to decide whether you feel the risks outweigh the benefits or vice versa.

A Chronic Babe contributor recently shared her scary experience with a medication error.

The pharmacist freaked when he saw the pills and everyone in the pharmacy was staring. He ordered me to go straight to the Emergency Room and it took several minutes to convince him that I hadn't actually taken any of the medication.

Keep Working, Girlfriend shares the astute, common-sense advice that we don't have to "fix" our chronic illnesses. Instead, we simply need to ride out the peaks and valleys of our conditions.
