Friday, February 1st is National Go Red Day, part of the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign, which educates Americans about heart disease in women. Go Red for Women's goal is to reduce heart disease among women by 25% by 2010.

You can help the effort to raise awareness by simply wearing red on Friday. You can choose anything you like: a favorite shirt, a pin, a scarf, you name it.

Encourage your family, friends and co-workers to do the same and share information with them about the risks to women and how to avoid heart disease by improving your lifestyle. The Go Red for Women website is a fabulous source of information including recipes, exercise programs, a Heart Checkup, inspirational stories and materials for companies interested in participating in National Go Red Day.
