20th Annual American Diabetes Alert Day

March 25, 2008, marks the American Diabetes Association's 20th Annual American Diabetes Alert Day.

While nearly 21 million Americans have diabetes, as many as one-third of that 21 million are undiagnosed. As you've all heard me lament during the past few months, being diagnosed with diabetes is a huge adjustment and fraught with negative emotions. However, it is imperative that you be diagnosed and treated
as soon as possible if you want to continue to live a healthy, fulfilling life.

The ADA encourages you to familiarize yourself with the risk factors and take a few minutes to complete the online Diabetes Risk Test:
