news: PTSD common among migraineurs

New research suggests that people living with chronic migraines are at a greater risk of developing post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) than people with episodic migraines.

PTSD Common in Chronic Migraine Sufferers

I've never thought about my experience in these terms, but it makes a great deal of sense to me now that I've thought about it. There is a great deal of fear and anxiety associated with chronic pain. Perhaps more so with migraines than other types of chronic pain.

Addressing treatment of your migraine disease on every possible front is important. This news suggests migraineurs should determine whether they are experiencing PTSD and get treatment for it if they are.
