A recent segment of NPR's All Things Considered featured an interview with the authors of a book for laypeople that provides a guided tour of how the brain works.

A Guided Tour of 'Your Brain'

Two neuroscientists decided to write the book because, as one author Sam Wang said, "there's a lot of folklore about how the brain works." They set out to debunk common myths about the brain, such as the often-stated assertion that we only use 10% of our brains.

The segment lasts about three and a half minutes, and the book is called Welcome to Your Brain: Why You Lose Your Car Keys but Never Forget How to Drive and Other Puzzles of Everyday Life by Sandra Aamodt and Sam Wang. I'm excited to get my hands on it.
