For me one of the biggest keys to actually enjoying exercise is to listen to music that makes me want to move. The right playlist can make a workout fly by, even a boring workout like walking and running intervals on a treadmill. Listening to upbeat, fun music was especially helpful when I was only able to do a few minutes of exercise at a time unless I wanted a massive, debilitating migraine attack to close on me immediately. It's not very much fun to have to reign yourself in sometimes, so the music made that process more enjoyable and tolerable.

This is my current workout playlist:

In case you are wondering, yes, I am a huge Beastie Boys fan and I'm broken up at the passing of MCA (Adam Yauch). He was an amazing rapper and humanitarian and part of music that shaped so much of my life. Cancer sucks and this time it stole a hip hop legend.

If you're interested in what other music I listen to, find me on Spotify or Last.fm.

What do you like to listen to when you're exercising or walking your dog or whatever you do to move your body?
