I'm participating in the Migraine Awareness Month Blogging Challenge every day in June.

Today's prompt is: "In my Head and Heart." Who inspires you to keep trying and not give up, despite your Migraines?

My husband, family and friends all inspire me on a daily basis to make the best of my situation. But ultimately, I truly find the most inspiration among all of the other migraineurs I encounter online through this blog, Migraine.com, Facebook, Twitter and anywhere else I meet one.

You guys inspire me to keep learning about migraine disease even when it feels like there is nothing under the sun that will do anything about mine other than make them slightly more tolerable and easier to cope with.

Interacting with so many of you who are in similar situations to mine with the chronic migraines that nothing seems to help inspires me to share the tools I've discovered and been taught. Those tools have kept me from going crazy and hurting myself or worse over the past nine years.

It is important to me to educate people about the wide range of options out there because too many of us are never told about what is available to us even after we've failed to respond to every medication, injection and other traditional Western treatment. Being referred to a behavioral pain management program changed my life, but it was just by chance I ever even knew about it. I want you guys to know they exist out there so you can seek one out and get the tools you need to cope with living this way. You deserve more than being told you'll have to learn to live with it, but given no tools for figuring out how one does that.

Who in your life inspires you to keep going when living with migraine disease beats you down?
