I need you guys to do me - and yourselves - a favor. The FDA is initiating a pilot project that will provide intense focus on 20 diseases over five years. Despite the significant burden of migraine and the lack of research and public awareness, migraine was not included on the preliminary list of conditions.

Luckily the FDA wants to hear from us, the citizens, before making a final decision on which 20 conditions / diseases to include. So I implore you to spend a few minutes writing to the FDA online to let them know they need to include migraine in this project.

Having migraine represented would make a huge difference in how our disease is treated. It would position us for greater public awareness and demonstrate the need for more research funding.

Read all about exactly how to submit your comments here: FDA Calls for Citizen Comments About Migraine: Be Heard.

Comments must be submitted by November 1, 2012, so please don't wait to get this done.

If you'd like to see what I submitted, you can read it here: My comments to the FDA about migraine.

Thank you for taking the time to speak up for yourself and the other millions of people living with migraine. After all, we can't expect anyone else to help us if we're not willing to help ourselves.
