For 2013 Migraine & Headache Awareness Month I've started a new project to help patients create increased awareness: a Photo a Day Challenge.

To participate capture a photo of your life with Migraine/Headache Disorders and share it via social media each day in June.

Use the daily prompts as your inspiration. Interpret them in whatever way seems right for you, your life and the day in question.

Share your photos on Instagram and/or other apps/sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, etc.

Use the hashtags #MHAM #MHAM13 and #MHAMPC to help other participants find your photos.

The idea behind having a Photo Challenge for MHAM is to provide a different creative option for increased Headache Disorders awareness for patients who aren't into blogging. But you don't have to pick just one MHAM activity, of course. I'll be doing both the Blog Challenge and the Photo Challenge, and I encourage everyone else to consider doing the same.

If you live with Migraine, consider making the letter M with your hands in your photos to represent Migraine. The letter C would be great for photos by those living with Cluster Headaches. See this example to get a better idea of how to do this: L for Lupus.

I'll be sharing a photo each day in June for the MHAM Photo Challenge through social media, so make sure you're following at least one of these accounts to see them.
