The prompt for day #18 of the Migraine & Headache Awareness Month Blog Challenge is: Die Hard: "Now I have a machine gun. Ho, ho, ho": Devise a make-believe weapon to blast Migraine/Headache Disorders out of your life.

I'd like to take a somewhat unique direction with this prompt and leeway with the language. After all, as you'll notice in a moment, my weapon isn't exactly make believe.

Here's my concept: I want to create a Migraine specialist and researcher capable of developing a preventive therapy for Migraine that gives me my life back. Or a full on cure that works for me.

There are some incredibly brilliant Migraine researchers right now. They grow closer and closer to achieving this with every day that passes. So my dream weapon could be someone who already exists. But it certainly doesn't have to be. I'm not picky. I just want to get my life back. Is that asking for too much? :)

Since I'm day dreaming here, ideally one of these genius Migraine researchers would be capable of jotting down the defining aspects of my Chronic Migraine disease, including the details about the preventive meds that have made even the tiniest bit of difference for me, my symptoms, the side effects I've experienced due to medications, the list of treatments I've failed, what helps me cope and so much more. He or she would take this list and use it as information to help develop that magic tonic to restore my life to its proper state.

Until then, I'll continue to keep putting one foot in front of the other, taking it one day at a time and relying on everything that helps me cope.
