Today's Migraine & Headache Awareness Month Blog Challenge prompt is: The Hunger Games: "Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor": What healthy habits have you adopted to put the odds of better Migraine & Headache Disorders management in your favor?

In the 10 years I've been living with Chronic Migraine not a single preventive treatment or therapy has reduced the frequency or intensity of my Migraine attacks. I've tried the more traditional treatments, less traditional treatments and a few downright kooky treatments, all to no avail. But a lot of little lifestyle changes and habits can and have added up to help improve my quality of life.

Here are some of the habits that help me:
  • Gentle movement.
  • Whole, healthy food.
  • Quality time with my husband, family and friends.
  • Quality time with my furbabies.
  • Hobbies, like reading, knitting & watching sports and movies.
  • Helping others.
  • Meditation.
  • Laughter.
